Important note: Seametery Services does not conduct traditional funeral ceremonies or burial services. Our focus is on creating intentional, long-lasting ocean memorials.
How Our Process Works
We’ve designed the process to make every step as simple and stress-free as possible.
From selecting a memorial design to final placement in the Gulf of Mexico, we guide your family through each step with care, respect, and transparency.
- Choose a memorial design from our collection or work with us to create a custom reef memorial.
- Receive a Memorial Sea Chest for the respectful return of your loved one’s cremated remains.
- Place a portion or all of the cremated remains in the Memorial Sea Chest, seal it using the provided materials, and return it to us using the included shipping materials.
- We create your memorial reef and coordinate its placement at our approved Gulf of Mexico reef site.
- Receive an official Certificate of Placement with your loved one’s memorial location and GPS coordinates.
- Option to add your loved one to our Registry

Azure Acres is located in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Destin, Florida, at depths of approximately 60 to 100 feet. This offshore site is home to our first Seametery memorial reefs—permanent ocean memorials designed to honor loved ones while creating new habitat for marine life.
Set on the Gulf’s sandy seafloor, each memorial adds durable structure where marine organisms can establish, fish can find shelter, and a living reef can develop over time.
